Very professional and well put together. Better than the local talk radio here in San Diego.

Hey guys, love the podcast! It's funny how similar our backgrounds are!

One suggestion... I noticed the file size of your mp3 podcast is quite large compared to other podcasts. If you can, you might want to consider 64 kbps mono instead of 128 kbps stereo to reduce the file size. I use my RAZR v3i phone for my mp3s and I'm limited on space...

Other than that, it's great! Another way to get a quick heli fix!

Thanks again for your work on this!

Thanks for the feedback, Bill! Good idea on the file size. As you might have guessed, we really don't know what we're doing.

Hi Chris,

For not knowing what you're doing, I think you guys are doing great! I manage a Public TV station and we do a daily video podcast of our local news, so I have some experience with podcast production.

As you said in your first podcast, there really is not much available for RC in the podcast world, so keep going!

Best wished on this adventure!

Paid? PAID? Dang, I need to talk to someone about that.

This is strictly a "for the heckuvit" venture. In fact, GFBurke has been spending money out of his pocket for the hosting and some software. I need to start chipping in.

Chris & GF,
Gave it a listen last night. Well done. I think you had a professional presentation and relevant Q&A with Mike. I picked up a few tidbits I was not aware of. Keep up the good work. I will take ya up on providing some suggestions for future shows.

I just listened to it, and it's excellent! Maybe you would want the sound of heli blades or a heli doing 3D instead of the music

Also, I'm the first listener from the caribbean...

I really liked the combination of the hosts, Chris with a lot of experience in the hobby, and GF being kind of new, it help to target everyone. Experienced people sometimes seem to forget the "stupid" questions they had when they where newbies.

Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the next one!

Chris,

I would think that you could get "paid" with getting hardware from vendors by doing reviews of their wares.... Think "More helis and parts!"

Get a few shows under your belt and add a equipment review section...

I'd certainly be interested as long as you don't get "bought" by vendors!

Bill, that is something that we've chatted about, when brainstorming about the whole idea. Our concern, of course, is that we don't really want the show to become "infomercial", nor do we want to feel pressured into giving a good review simply because we were provided the product free (or at a reduced cost). We'd need to have an agreement with the vendor that if the product sucks, we're going to say so.

For now, we really want to keep it "tech-tips" and "how-to" based, and we'll just see where it goes from there.

So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive (and appreciated!)

-Chris
