Cowboy up...

Received my kit last week. Thanks Chris!

Now if I could only get my garage built faster to start this build! The Mrs. has strictly forbidden the future use of 3M products in the house. (wonder why?)

Seriously though I'd welcome the posting of various setups on your TL60s. I'm fairly new to electric setups and I want to make sure I "moto, prop and battery" this one right (or should I say rite?).

Ok guys here is a great drivetrain sugestion from the past.
Mega 16/15/3 or het 3w or any 3000 kv motor or close to it.
A 3.2 to1 mega gearbox 8/4 e apc
4s set of bats that are good for 40 or more amps.
I went back and looked up a setup that I absolutly loved on my old wing warrior 60.
If you go over 3000kv or a gear box like a 2.5 to 1 it might be even faster or too fast for the 60.
I found the sweet spot is an 8/4 e around 16 k rpm static.I had it up to 18k rpms' and the wing warrior was getn alittle squirly.

Who is gona be the first one done?

Your 60'' setup?

CK,

I was looking through the thread for the setup on your 60" that you plan to use. I know we got you the 3s 5000HV packs. I know we talked, they are thicker than the 4000HV's. too thick for 50s foil thinness. I am watching this thread with a lot of interest. I wish could afford to do more large wing projects lot more speed in the 40"+. Those 30"s I fly are lot more mellow on my chubbless wallet. I am interested in see all of the other 60" setups the others are going to use. 60" is big that will block some sun.

Weekend was fun here hope your slope slacking camping, hill grazing trip was fun filled too. They had a RC club cookout here with activities like "Death to the USAF Drone" with the paintball guns. I sure our cookouts are tame compare to other clubs. No one brought the drone down but it did have a new cool paint job afterwards.

Lots of fun.
