That 8x6 APC SF on 2s in the specs has GOT to be in error! Surely anything much bigger than a 6x3 or 6x4 will draw >3A on 2s.

With milled out planes, air brakes, and now crazy light equipment, ETOC is going to be simply amazing next year. The airplanes and electronics have changed so much between this years ETOC and last years, I cant wait to see what 2008 has in store. Nice job this year, Devin! Thanks for posting this.

Sounds like this will be a killer of all other sub 10gr brushless motors. Especially for the price.
era of 3d flying @ home is near, people.

Great news !

Of course its a mistake, it should read 10 X 5 !!!

More seriously, this motor it much cheaper than the gems that Uttam makes.

If it works at all well it should bring ultra micro 3D flying into the budget of many more people.

As for the prop sizes I think using the nearest Uttam motor as a guide would be useful.

Potential buyers of this motor should be aware,
that getting maximum performance at these weights
requires buying other ultra light parts,
and then reducing the weight of wires, glues, carbon bracing, etc,
to an absolute minimum, which can be a bit of a pain.

There are a lack of aircraft kits in this size range,
it will probably take at least a year for the trade to catch up.

Well guys I have one of these motors to test. I will be getting pictures of it next to some other popular motors that everyone is more familiar with. I will also be putting it on a watt meter when I get home tonight...

I plan on building a milled out Edge 540 shock flyer to put it on sense I already have one milled out. (We used it as a test for the ETOC planes we milled this year). I also hope to start building tonight.
