First Order with united hobbies, so far, NO good
I've placed my order for a receiver (corona, 36Mhz, i was enticed by the free delivery and very convenient price) on the first of february 2007, the item was in backorder and a wait time of two weeks was expected.
almost THREE months have passed (10 weeks now), and despite i have sent an email with my complaint and a request for refund (i got the receiver somewhere else almost five weeks ago) the customer service declined silently my request saying that they will deliveri it when available I don't know if the people running this forum are the same people managing customer service (i hope not), so i ask again: can i please get a refund for this undelivered receiver since i had to buy it somewhere else and a huge amount of time has passed beyond the expectations you gave me? your reference number is: #2008934 Thanks in advance Best Regards |

This is UH support. I'm getting the same. Others I know got the same. Try going to the UH web forum and post. here - http://www.unitedhobbies.com/communi...ts.asp?TID=384 You'll have to sign up to post. It hasn't done me any good but who knows.
Also It's likely too late but a dispute through paypal can be filed. I am at the point of filing one myself. If nothing is done soon the only way I'll buy later is using a credit card through PP. Any trouble, call the card company and let paypal and UH settle it. |

Hi guys.
Firstly, I would like to appologise for the Corona lateness. We have been given a large number of excuses for the long delay (more than 3 months for us!!). Corona told us yesterday that they had sent our first shipment out of our 4 waiting orders. This should arrive today or tomorrow. Robert53. check your PM. |

I've read thru many posts and although I'm happy w' the delivery, cost and condition of my "in stock items".I would strongly recommend that no one backorder items from UH. Judging from the posts I've seen it is going to be a long wait and you may never get your item or a refund.
UH needs to work on this. My biggest fear of UH is not being able to get a refund. i've heard returns can be a nightmare as well. |

I can understand your requirement to vent some frustration at this point. However I must point out that it's very incorrect to say that refunds are hard to get. If a customer asks for a refund it is processed. Perhaps customers expect refunds to be made within 1hr. It usually takes 1-2 days for a refund (not including weekends). Rgds Jason. |

Jason, if someone has an issue w' an order, return or customer service will you help them get it resolved here on this forum?
I personally am happy with UH. I was just pointing out that there have been and still are alot of posts about not getting refunds, returned items being lost and very slow unhelpful responses from customer service. It seems like this area provides UH a great opportunity for improvement. Hopefully the stuff I order will be in top notch condition and I will never have to experience the return process or dealing w' customer service. |

you seem to act like Janice at customer service (provided you and janice are two different people) I am asking for a refund because the receiver is no longer needed, since i had to buy one instead of waiting THREE months to maiden my model (and probably even longer than that because so far nothing has been sent to me) instead of the two weeks you promise on the website for items in backorder. Other hobby companies i dealt with, for lesser problems, offered themselves a form of compensation which was absolutely not requested nor expected, and they had me as a loyal returning customer and referral. Of course if you want to throw a bucket of poo on yourself for 17 dollars please go ahead, but let me sing with the big chorus of complaints i see on this forum about your company. Let me ask you once again... Can i get a refund (which i formally asked for on this forum TWELVE days ago, not one hour) or not? Please do not lie to people saying that refunds are given upon request, because in the email i sent a few weeks ago to your customer service, Janice turned suddenly deaf to the request (and that is why i decided to post on the public forum, so people knows what to expect), saying "cherries" to my inquiry about "apples" |
