Good trainer? Dave's Aircraft Works Schweitzer 1-26 2-meter

Hi,
(You'll see I have another thread going about what sort of foamie I should learn to fly on.) How about this one?
Dave's Aircraft Works Schweitzer 1-26 2-meter
http://www.davesaircraftworks.com/

Is there another ship I should think about instead?

(From my other post) I want something that flies well that I can learn on and crash a lot while I'm building another ship (most likey a Big Bird or Big Bird XL, I do have some wooden plane building experience).

Thanks!

DAW has been out of business for awhile. I think www.skykingrcproducts.com has rekitted some of his planes. This may be one of them.

The1-26 2-meter is a good call. I flew one recently and it flew well. Ed Berris of Skyking was smart to bring this one back.

I did most of my learning with a DAW 1-26 hlg,1.5 m, for the last 7 years and it still flies great.I've done a lot of crashing but, it takes it well.More stripped servo gears than anything. Now I've graduated to a DAW Ka-6,(on the bench right now)put out by Sky King Products.I think the 2m will give you great pleasure.
