I have the depron and the printed plans ready. Just need some time to get this build going. I have two 1610 kV motors on order from Himodel in China, should be here very soon. I have realized that my DX6 will not be enough for this plane. Since I'm going on a vacation to the US in a couple of weeks I will try to pick up a DX7 Unfortunately they seem to be on backorder in many shops right now. Hopefully I can order one before I go and pick it up from my relatives over there.

I have had lots of fun with the Gripen lately, the BP-21 makes it is easy to fly but it lacks the speed and the sound it had with the EDF. New EDF is coming with same order as motors mentioned above

I dunno what it is about 2 seat variants, but I think they all look better, for the most part..

Thankyou for asking. Specs are as is.
28 in.span
GWS ep 1080
single TV w/ Eflite Park 400 (740kv)
Eflite 2100mAh
Align 35 amp speed control
Futaba R146ip receiver
Flight controls Tailerons + TV
weight w/ bat 20.5 oz.

And another picture just after landing. She flew well in 14 mph wind. Had throttle wide open most of the time surfing the wind. Did one stationary harrier just before landing. All in all I am very pleased with her performance and am looking forward to calmer weather.

Update ... With calmer weather and the above configuration produced less than desirable results. She flew well but very slow; good for circuits around the field but not aerobatics. I will try an Align 430L outrunner motor and a APC 6x4 while I wait for the LSPJ to arrive.

Final update (430L) Flys like a bat outta ! Pure fun!!!!

Sorry Jeff, but I still haven't shot a flight video of my Su-37 yet. But I did post a video of the model in my shop to demo the TV system. A link to that video is in the 3rd post of this thread.

a quick question on engine mounts and location


I see the TV set for this model but have been wondering what are the benefits/detriments to a mid mounted engine on this plane instead of a rear mounted location? other then of course there is less to cut out with a rear mounted engine.

I assume you mean a mid-mounted motor with the prop in a slot, like the Su-27 Shockflyer? Well, a mid-mounted motor works great for a relatively simple flat foamie. But this model is more built up and more scale, so it would be more difficult to cut a slot in the middle and still have the nacelles look OK and be strong enough. Plus I think the pusher looks more scale (though it's still a far cry from an EDF model). But given that, I suppose a mid-mounted motor could be made to work with this design. The only real advantage is that balance would be easier.
