You would probably find that it would be 1/10th scale as in the most popular scale 1/4scale is not very popular but products like the Baja and the smarttech traveler (or similar) are making it much cheaper and practical for people to get into 1/4scale therefore growing rapidly!

1/10 scale is the most popular by far, 1/8 in seconds and so on

1/10 counts as mostly all electric cars and mostly all on road cars

Probably 1/10 scale with 1/8 not far behind. I'd suggest that if you want to race try contacting a few hobby shops in your area and see if they know of any r/c tracks. If you can find one then go there and see what everyone is running. There's nothing worse than buying a new r/c only to find that it doesn't fit into any of the classes at the local track.

If you're looking to get into r/c racing, 1/8 scale buggies, 1/10 scale stadium trucks, and monster trucks like the Tmaxx almost always having a class at most tracks.

Good luck with the purchase.
