Sorry Viking, I haven't seen him for a while. One of his mates told me a couple of weeks ago that he wasn't too good. Haven't been to the club for a couple of weeks due to problems there, probably go again in a week or so. I'll post when I can pass on anything relevant.

Not too sure just how good Forceful thinks is good...a couple of his mates from many years ago told me he isn't looking too good at all and had to go home early.

We're keeping an eye on him.

Thanks Alex,

I've spent the last few days in the wild north of Papua New Guinea, fixing a boat in Lae.

Hi Nick, saw in your last lot of photos an RNLI rescue boat. Just before moving from the Gold Coast back to Port Macquarie in 2009, I acquired a Fibre glass hull and plans for a Tyne Class rescue boat. Scale size is 1:12. Plans available if anyone wants them. John Darke provided props, electronics, and I finished it last year.
Plenty of water down here, but no club. MIss Tygum Lake.
Regards, Allan.

Hi Allan,
Good looking boat, I think one of the Johns has one as well, I understand there's a hobby expo in Port Mac every year in July

Just start sailing every week end where there's plenty of passing traffic you will have plenty of people coming up

The last couple of weeks I've been boatless at the club

A gentleman came down who works at the local hobby shop with a UL-1 and a big gas to electric hydro conversion, had a massive Castle 750 Kv motor in it, I think it was the first time he ran it. His hands were shaking during the run. I had only just arrived when he put it in the water so no shots sorry.
