Mid week club day

Had a great sunny and windy day. 25 members showed up plus 785boats from TripleS. Council have been busy and installed underground services, i.e. water and electric, to the site of our new storage facility. Word is the building will start by the end of the month !!

As always...very cool...I can't wait to see that LCT finished.

What kind of tank is that? It looks like a cross between a Tiger and a T34.

Had a great day as usual with the guys a Logan.
Thanks for posting the pics Col.
Capt Crash.
The tank is a Panzer Mk III.
Yes. I know. What's it doing on an American LCT?
Well it's been captured & is being taken back to the shores of England for reverse engineering.
Actually it was the only one the store had & it was on special. At the time I just needed a 1/16 scale tank so I could scale up the drawings for the LCT & start building. I'll get an Abrams or Sherman later.

Lake deserted (is that a reverse pun?) today, we have had a week of rain, still soggy. First time since 2001 the 3 major dams in SE Qld are at 100% capacity. 16% in 2007.

The new overflow has been effective in keeping the lake from flooding the dock

Judging by the high tide mark at our lake at Boondall it seems our dock was 2" underwater at some stage during last Thursday night . We still ran the fast boats on Saturday in the rain. Great fun.
Hope it eases up for this weekend at Sippy Downs.
All the best.

Retired for now
More great looking models from Tygum. Great boats guys and some really fine model building. Is that by any chance Blarny Stone running the tug? I think I know him. Ha! Good show guys. Pete

And here is the photos

Made the trip up to the Sunshine coast Inter Club Regatta, a great day, I have the sun burn to prove it.

Dr Pat put on a show with his torpedoes again and sunk the cargo ship many times. Towards the end of the day he handed the controls to a little boy, but hit the sink switch on him, poor kid panicked a bit when it started to sink, all in good fun

Battle ships were not launched due to the soggy conditions

I ran the air boat and the Ski boat, no pictures that I took of that. I unfortunately hit Alex.s Lulonga with the airboat and knocked a few bits off, bit of super glue and its all Ok (sorry Alex)

I have got a couple of videos of Pauls LCT to upload.

Radio control LCM unloading a RC tank (0 min 31 sec)

Radio Control LCM retrieving a RC tank (0 min 52 sec)

Both available in high def
