CNC router kit choice?

Im getting ready to take the plunge and start my first CNC router project. After reading everything I could get my hands on I like the hobby CNC router. It has a 9x 24 cut area, vacuum hold down, etc.

The router will be used to make model parts, mainly balsa and lite ply.

Has anyone here built or looked at this router? What do you think?

I've looked at it and it seems like a nice design. You should also consider buying a metal kit from Zoltar, who hangs around here. It looks like a nice set-up.

The Pipe Dream from crankorgan would be the cheapest way to go if cost is an issue.

Thanks Jim,

I'll check them all out.

It would be great if a number of people would sign up to build a particular cnc-router plan or kit. We could use this forum as a meeting point and discuss our tribulations and successes.

So, how many people are interested?
