Well on my last couple orders I Have asked, getting a solid NO from both soaringusa as well as 3DHS..... oh well, its understandable, they have to make their money. Just wish I could afford some planes that I definitely can not on my pay! haha

how's edwards btw? I put in for it but they didn't need any E&E troops at the time... So Im here at DM working on my bachelors instead.

Odd that those companies do not have some sort of military discount. I'm sure they make enough money to provide a 5 or 10 percent discount to military members. And it's not like everyone that is buying from them is military. I would guess 1 out of 20?

Edwards is great. I like it a lot. Takes some getting used to, as it pretty far out from any big city, but that is what I like about it. I was stationed at DM also and really like it as well. I was doing a lot of MTBing at the time and that was a great place for it as well as road cycling.

It's my pleasure and it's what I have been doing for years now. That is why I am so excited about the TransAmerica Tour 2014. Promoting model aviation and helping out our American heroes all at the same time. We definitely have a chance to break all kinds of records for such a great cause.

Yes it has been a while.

It is nice and honorable that some respect those willing to give all to protect the many.

I am confident I am not the only one irritated with the restrictions of many of these military discounts.
Meaning, restricted to only active or retired.
Most of us that served are neither, which are a much larger majority.

Fortunate all are not like this.
Just found out yesterday when setting up a business account for my wife, that all military can have a free basic checking account. Worked on our joint account and by adding my name to hers works too.

Well I guess we should be happy for those that can take advantage of the small discounts offered by those few companies that actually do support our military and veterans.

It really is a shame that some fell embarrassed to openly support our American heroes.

Progressive RC hooked me up with a Vet discount, had to scan them a copy of my DD214.

I just sent a email to 3DHS asking if Noel has a Vet program and I will let ya know if he does. I am also looking for someone who does Vet discounts for servos and will bird dog that one.
