Sean,

That's the natural beauty of that site!

I think they lost about 25 planes since day 1, all were gas powered. I think the Sea God think they are too noisy, silently reached up and snatched them out of the sky.

No electric powered lane and gliders were harmed.

I'll be there around 8AM to stake out my Tent spot. I still have some last minute stuff to finish up or I'd leave tonight. Welcome to the procrastination station! I love the mellow Los Banos Fridays though!

Fridays are my favorite days. That's when I do most of my flying. For some reason the Saturdays are always much less windy or wind is in the wrong direction.

I'll be there tomorrow Noonish

We missed ya Al,

I got there on Friday morning, and it was sunny and warm all day long. Never really got much wind for sloping, but the thermal conditions were pretty good all day long. Saturday was sunny in the morning and gave way to kind of a gloomy haze for the rest of the day. Around 3:00 or so the switch turned on and we had pretty good sloping conditions till about 5 or 6 when the rain came. I ended up leaving last night since I didn't feel like being cooped up in my tent all night long while it rained outside. I just heard that the conditions this morning were a bit of drizzle in the morning and then some good thermals with a bit of slope lift thrown in. You just never know what you are going to get at banos sometimes.

Some pics...

Went Sunday morning (early)...Started to rain from Gilroy to I-5. Once at the flying site it cleared up. By 9 am a slight breeze for sloping, as the day warmed up, thermal activity.
