My guess is it would. They do seem to be the same model, although no one can seem to confirm this!

After looking at the root of the wing some more, it seems that it should be fixable, with enough patience. The one thing i'm struggling with how to approach is that the aileron live-hinge has torn about 3" up the length of the aileron. I'm not sure how I should go about fixing this, any ideas? I'm thinking that tape will do the job, considering i'm not going fast with this model any more. But is there a more professional way to do it? I'd attempt a new skin hinge, but without the right materials i'm afraid it would be too brittle.

One idea would be silicon glue...hm, this could work!

Hopefully i'll have the thing structurally back together by this evening! In the mean time, I still have my SR to go fast.

instead of silicone, try 3M 5200 Fast Cure.

Shes not pretty, but shes flyable. The proposed new setup, of which all the pieces are on the way, should be very fun to fly!

28-57-4800kv (HC Black inrunner)
4.4:1 Great Planes geardrive
ICE 100 Lite
3-1800 45C
Aeronaut 11x10, with a 30/5 spinner

Should hopefully be around 90A and 1000W, which with the 11" prop should be more then enough pep to make the Escape a pocket hotliner!

Anyone able to measure up the thickness of an original escape wing?

How are the drag spars laid out?

Comparing it to the Stiletto

Spares

Anybody have some spare parts left to sell from the Escape? I'll take them even with a little battle scaring.
Thanks

I have a beat up red/yellow fuselage and stab I dug up in the basement last night. I thought I had unloaded them long ago but obviously not!

The wing snapped on the plane's last flight and it missled into a wooded area. The stab was ripped off and the fuselage arrowed into a few feet of snow. The fuselage had many repairs on it before it's last flight - it had broken off just ahead of the tail and I sloppily repaired it with carbon and glass. It also had a run-in with a tree trunk and a large, very sloppy repair to the nose. The tail repair is sound with well over 50 flight on it since, the nose repair has maybe a dozen flights on it and is sound but very ugly.

The elevator has a chunk taken out of the leading edge and pulled cleanly off the fuselage. The hinge is torn on each end about one inch from the edge and the control horn snapped off cleanly also. Repairable for a beater.

I can throw the wing in also, but it snapped cleanly in half in-flight and isn't repairable, but it could donate skin grafts to your damaged wing.

Call it $20 for shipping and it's yours. Only requirement is you post a picture of your plane it you use any of the parts!

I could use that fuse very, very, very badly. If i could I would live to buy it. My plane was ran over, two of them were. I really need to fly. Starting to go a little crazy.

I just received an Escape new in the box from a friend and have already begun building it! I've tried to read through and search this thread for all my answers. Hpefully I'm not the only one left on the planet with this model...

A neu 1110 / 1.5Y / 3.2 on 3s with 5x5 or 6x4 prop will be my starting point, and I may go to 4s and 4.75x4.75 when I get needy for the speedy.
