My first jet!

This winter will see the construction of my first ever electric jet. The EJF Minx 400. It will be Mega powered with a wemotec fan. Anyone else put one together? I've never seen a thread on the Minx in this forum.

Initially, a Haldor MiG. If I get ambitious, I may build the Dynaflite Chipmunk I bought a year ago (Saito 120 powered; sacrilegious!)

A Vailly Aviation Hawker Hurricane. Actually it's a project that will take me over a year to complete. In the meantime, I've got a Ryan Bearcat , an F-18 and I just ordered KA FW-190.

C-5 Galaxy (50" span)
AN-225 Mryia (50" span)
These two I should start foam cutting tomorrow evening! Finally

And more "maybe's" - all scratch built w/ foam (blue and white)

BAE-146 (35" span)
IL-76 Candid (span TBD)
C-17 (span TBD)
C-141 (span TBD) (with it's long tube fuselage should be very easy!)
Dash-7 (span TBD) (prop job)

TBD= To be determined

If my C-5 and AN-225 get together as simply as I hope
with my new foam cutter setup, the rest should be pretty
easy. For all the jets I may end up with a plug-in type EDF
unit so I can swap them between the planes I feel like flying.
My plan for all of them is to use a somewhat thin foam shell
of 1/4 to 1/2" (hotwire cut white foam, not that fan-fold blue
foam), and build them as light as possible. Use Alene's F/S
glue from WalMart, and white paper covering to stiffen things
up, and for Fans, use EDF-50's (because they are so affordable).
Hopefully things will go well. If they don't for these large planes
I'll look at other options (more powerful fans, or as a last resort,
speed 300 or 400 GWS DD motors w/props). I would love to see
them fly with fans, but if it ends up props, I'll still be thrilled to
see these birds fly!

As follows in this order:

Avro CF-105 Arrow Mk. 2 (RL206) WS?? probably with a pair of Vasa55's to start
Avro CF-100 Canuck Mk? probably also for a pair of vasa55's

They will definately be designed this winter, but building may not happen for a while. If all goes well with the Arrow, I'll end up making a larger one (Midi size??)
