Nope, that was the Mach-1 "Pumkin" which has also been to Germany. It didn't like the thin air of the Andes slopes at 10000-foot elevation, and the Kestrel would have hated them even more.

I did a search here on RCG for specs on the Kestrel, but didn't find any. What is the span/AR/weight/foil? Is it made partially or entirely out of unobtainium?

Andreas

PS - ...and from what I've heard of the Kestrel, I'm jealous.

It's one of the rarest forms of unobtanium. The amazing thing is that 2 have actually changed hands in 2007. Never thought that would happen. Maybe there is hope for me after all.

Actually, they don't exist. They're all vapor ware spun in the minds of mischievous slope heads, and photos of them are all doctored up in Photoshop. In 2007, they became the highest-priced vapor on the planet.

I've got one somewhere in the wilds of Central / Northern Calif. It was sighted online--but since the pics seem to have degenerated--- perhaps to be as rare as the proverbial Yeti!!! I've got to find some transportation for my BABY!!!!

I guess I'll need to bring a tape measure to the Tri-Slope event this year to measure some vapor.

I know they fly well, but what is it about the model that makes it do so?

That's right Sam, but my unhealthy obsession has seen me harvest just about every pic of a kestrel ever posted online!
