I have a new-in-box Vasa F-5 kit I got a few years back, and I really don't think I'm going to get around to building it!

This is an extraordinary kit, with a hand-laid fiberglass fuse and pre-made foam-core wings. It includes the carbon-fiber Vasa 65 fan as well.

How does $400, shipped to US/Canada sound? (Canadians, keep in mind no tax/duty at all!)

I have one too. It maybe a bit overpriced but craftmanship and quality is supurb. When assembly is completed it is a very light aircraft and performance is as good as it looks.

The HL price may be high, but where else can you get it?

Price is based on perceived value, and if HL manages to sell them, then somebody obviously thinks they are worth it! They would not stock something that does not sell at the price they list!

Has this particular model ever gone on sale at HL??

I got mine thru a dealer in england at a more reasonable price than Hobby Lobby

It is a very nice model , I did swap out the vasa fan for a wemo fan , I am not
very fond of the Vasa fans , old style ,, have not tried what they refer to as the new style

you do not see a whole lot about this model , that suprised me due to the quality of the model and it's built to last ,,

Good to know. Shipping from AUS to Canada/US would be outrageous, so that pretty much makes it a non-starter...

With the above in mind, does $335 shipped/insured/tracked make it more interesting?

Shipping would only be $42.50 US to get from AUS to USA - so it's not expensive at all.


$335 is a great deal for this plane shipped though!
