Shrike And Elf Production Update

I have started the notification process for those folks on my waiting list. The first ten people have been contacted and I will now wait to see how many of them would like to complete their order.

Here's a copy of the e-mail that has been sent out:
You probably thought this day would never come or perhaps you no longer care but I am writing to let you know that I am very close to having Shrike kits ready to ship. If everything goes as planned I'll be shipping kits by this
time next month.

It has been a very long wait for you and a long road for me to get kits
ready to deliver. I won't go into details or excuses. I just wanted to see
if you still wanted a kit so that I can plan accordingly.

Kits will be priced at $199.00 plus $12.00 shipping. You have a choice
between poplar or obeechi wing skins. You also have the option of
purchasing a pair of composite bagged wings. I only have four sets to sell.
If you wanted a kit with bagged wings instead of cores and wood skins the
cost for a kit will be $375.00 plus $15.00 shipping.

There have been some improvements to this second generation Shrike. This
kit now features:

New carbon boom that is larger in diameter and more robust.

This new boom attaches to the fuselage in a way that is stronger, easier to
assemble and more good looking.

A carbon canopy is now a standard feature

A heavier glass layup on the fuselage. There is no weight gain with the
heavier layup and new tail boom due to new construction techniques that
eliminate the filling of the back of the fuselage with epoxy.

The fuselage is pre-primed to reduce the time required for filling pin holes
or other imperfections. There still may be a need for some minor surface
preparation but this is greatly minimized by all the prep work that we have
done for you.

You will also receive a second set of tail root ribs so that you can apply
them to the tail boom to form a perfect fit between the "V" tails and the
boom.

I do not want you to send any money at this time. I will notify you when
your kit is actually in a box and ready to ship.

All I'm asking for now is:

Do you still want a kit?
If yes, do you want more than one?
Do you want a kit with composite bagged wings?
Do you want poplar or obeechi wing skins for your Shrike?

I am only notifying the first 10 people on my waiting list at this time.
Please get back to me some time this week so I know how to prepare.

Thanks,
Ed

If you have not received this e-mail it is because your name has not come up on my list yet. I will be contacting folks in blocks of ten names at a time. Once these orders are confirmed I will contact the next 10 people and will repeat this process until everyone has been notified and orders are filled.

If you have not received a notification yet PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR E-MAIL ME TO FIND OUT WHEN YOUR NAME WILL COME UP. I SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE TIME TO ANSWER ALL THE E-MAILS THAT I GET ASKING FOR THIS INFORMATION. MY PRIMARY FOCUS IS GETTING THESE KITS OUT THE DOOR BEFORE IT'S SUMMER TIME.

No confirmations to RC Groups Please

Please be aware that I will only accept confirmations to my private e-mail address: ed@skykingrcproducts.com or eberris@comcast.net.

I will not consider an order confirmed unless it is sent to one of these two address'. I do not check with RC Groups on a regular basis so this is an unreliable way to confirm anything with me.

Also I do not wish to take the bandwidth of RC Groups.
