So I want to use 3S and aiming for 3200rpm. What pinion would I need on a 1107H/1.5Y? From the discussion that went on, I will need a 10T, am I right? I also only have cc35, and don't wish to go up to cc45. Would the cc35 be enough for this? I suppose I could drop the HS to 3100rpm since they don't bog as much.

use an 11t. best results are from the 11t and a good 2100mah 25c battery. use strong blades like vblades to for best results.

the cc35 is okay. caution should be taken so i would recommend first by starting with a 10t.

Thanks, I will give that a try. But that'll be a while, since they are out til early August.

Waht the longest flight time you can get by just fly around no 3D with that same setup from the fist page (1) ?

Sup guys, I just finished reading through this thread and have a question or two.
I'm trying to plan my future purchases so I don't waste money now. Currently, I have 2 3S lipos and 1 4S lipo. My original goal was to use the same pinion, and swap between 3S for sport and 4S for 3D. I've come to realize this was dumb, so I'm abandoning that idea. So, now I need to pick whether to continue with the 3S route, or go down the 4S road. My flight style is about 50/50 between FF and 3D. (will probably sway more towards 3D the better I get at it though)

So, the question:
Should I buy more 4S lipos now and get the 1107H/2Y down the road, or get more 3S lipos now and get the 1107H/1.5Y down the road. How do the flight times and power compare between the two setups? I've read the descriptions on Neu's website, but I'd like some testimony from users.

I re-read all this post and I can't have an info for my question so please, could you tell me the amp draw with
- the 2Y in 3S and a 13T
- the 2Y in 4S and a 11T
I have a hyperion 30A esc with a medusa 3.5A BEC, I wonder if it's enough. And it's very difficult to buy this motor !?! Have you got email addresses to give me ? Thanks.

I don't have the numbers for you, but with this motor setup the way you want it. I wouldn't run anything under a 45 amp ESC.

waow, ok so I'm far from what I expected. So I think I'll have to use my hyperion 50A, hoping his BEC will be ok. Thanks

Been liking this motor for a long time. Atleast 150-200 flights on this motor. The other day in the middle of flight I lost almost all power and heard a weird noise. When I looked, it seemed the pinion was loose. Well it turns out the shaft is now free spinning in the motor, there is no cogging left??? It just kind of squeeks. Never been crashed. So it basically quit on me. Anyone heard of this happening ever?

That happened to me. I sent mine to new. They repaired it for 25 bucks. and it took a little over a month for me to get it back.

A month? Might aswell just buy a different motor. Sucks that a 130$ motor would do that.

Yeah i ended up buying a scorpion for a back up, untill i got it back. Then i ended up keeping the scorpion instead.

I sent mine in for repair after a nasty crash last fall and had it back in my hand within 10 days.

Sounds like you need another heli or an XL motor on the shelf to hold you over!

Easily over 100 flights and still lovin' it!

There is no need for a back up. the Scorpion was better.
