FS: Who want's an X-Wing interceptor?

I think this plane would be way too fast for me. I've always been a better bulider than flyer.

Anyhow, this canard bipe was purchased, built very light for electric, then and never made it into the air. I got wrapped up in HGL flying... The underside of the wings are a dayglo red and the rest of it is black. except for aft of the cockpit... which was airbrushed an iridescent blue-white.

Anyhow, the kit was about 80 bucks. There is one hanger-rash puncture in one of the wings though, So i'm asking $100 - plus shipping costs.

Thanks for all of the interest. I just did some diggin in th pile-o-plans and I found the original plans AND the instruction booklet. The instruction booklet has all of the original parts list and templates for the diecut balsa parts. They were written in 1989, so bear in mind that they suggest an .05 with the "new"
1200mAh cells. ahem...

The weight as built is 425 grams, (15.17 oz.) The wingspan is 34" Both wings are completely removable and there is a hatch on the underbelly for radio, servo and battery access.

I even found some of the original dayglo monokote I used, so it can be patched pretty easily.

At the time, I was planning on putting an Astro geared .05 spinning an APC pattern prop. but I think this plan want's to go fast, so your best bet might be a direct drive system.

PM me if you have any more questions...

thanks,

I modified the original post with more info... .05 was suggested at the time. But you could probably get away with a 480 or higher powered motor. I'm sure a brushless would make this thing scream.
