Same thing happened to Werner Blech and Heinz Scheidhauer flying Horten Ho 3 and Ho 3-C gliders in 1938, Blech died.

I once tied my sisters Barbie to a whole lot of balloons filled with helium and let it go into the great blue sky.......as soon it became airborne a freak gust of wind pushed the floating para-barbie into a large tree where she spent the next 6 years just hanging around before a dead branch released her from her captivity and came back to earth.
She was a bit worse for wear but still the same old pretty face that a Barbie doll is known for.

The 2005 World Cup winner was lifted 32,612 feet (9,940 meters) above sea level by the storm near Manilla in New South Wales state while preparing for the tenth FAI World Paragliding Championships next week.
Seems to me they should just give her the darn trophy and we can all go home.

Noted in the same news item that another guy flying the same site went to the same sort of height, was found dead, frozen, 45 miles away.
