Scratchbuilt foamie contest
No new entries.........Contest has started!
OK guys who's up for a Scratchbuilt contest? All planes of all types allowed profiles, full fuse, scale or whatever you can come up with. The weirder the better.
I will be contacting various retailers on this site to see if anyone wants to donate a prize or two.
Here is what I am thinking.
1. One month time limit for build.
2. Plane must be foam(nothing against balsa but this is the foamies forum).
3. Plane must be scratchbuilt(no kits).
4. Posting plans would be cool but not required.
5. Entry must be a new build.
***Since scale planes are included there will be some planes built that will be "repeats", but even these have to be redesigned by the contestants not just use someones plans. This is all about what can be done with foam. Remember that votes by rcgroups users will decide this contest so the more impressive the plane the more votes it should get.***
6. This thread will be used for joining the contest, questions and suggestions.
7. One week from Feb.16th 2007 will be the contest start date.
8. A new thread will be started on Feb 23rd 2007(the official start date) to begin posting builds.
9. As usual photographic or video proof of flight will be required.
10. At the end of the contest March 25th 2007 12:00 PM EST a final thread will be started with each entry listed as a poll option, all rcgroups members can then vote on the winners(1st. 2nd and 3rd).
Regardless of who wins I think we will all benefit from the amazing planes and ideals everyone will come up with.
This is what I have come up with so far, so sign up and have fun.
If anyone has any ideals that they think will improve this contest, feel free to post them here.
To enter just post and say "I'm in".
This first post will be updated with any changes and to list entrants.
