Don't usually fly as much in the winter, but this sounds like fun. So some of the guys from our club (Greater Detroit Soaring & Hiking Society) are going to give it a go! I'll be flying an old electric from Mark Allen that some of you might remember.

Hope the weather cooperates here in cold Michigan!

Well, it looks like I will have the Organic repaired from the damage of the 2006 X5J eXtreme at the National field.

Organic 2/5M with Hacker B40 F5F motor, 8 GP 2200, on 18 X 10 prop.

Hope to post a few pictures.

Ryan Nelson my son will also be flying and will be using the PeterG (own design)

2.7 meter span 6 servo set up, 480 race with box, 3 cell poly pack.
weight is 980 gms

robert...glad to hear you got the organic repaired from damage at the 2006 X5J. it was 2 tuff days
doubt if the CASA guys will fly this weekend. we are ending up a major ice storm today. CASA rules are no fly if real feel is below 40' and wind above 15mph. don't laugh you guys from norway and sweden.
i will keep you advised about our memorial day X5J. it will definitely happen...ken troxell

Some weather forecasts do not look too good for the weekend, but if I get a decent opportunity to fly, Iíll (once again) fly an Art Hobby Andromeda 2M set-up as follows:

Motor: Mega 16/15/3
Prop: 9x5 direct drive
ESC: 40 amp
Pack: IB1400 7-cell
AUW: 26.7 oz

I almost have my new Electric blaster hooked up, it's said that saturday is suposed to be nicer, I'll most likely be working out trims then try to get some flights in.
