Anyone used an ACE Auto Add-A-Trickle?

I was wondering if anyone has used one of these and has an opinion.

I have two. They seem to work as advertised, which is all I can tell you.

Do you know if it is simply a 16 hour timer or if it detects battery status and goes to trickle?

The instructions say that when you push the Charge button the unit lets your wall charger operate at its normal C/10 rate. 18 hours later the Add-A-Trickle switches to Trickle charge. You can leave your batteries on Trickle indefinitely.

Yes, I was just wondering if you had batteries that were half charged if the thing would crank and full charge into them for 16 hours then go to trickle, or if it would sense that and go to trickle after eight hours.
