Hi all,

I'm hoping this beauty will be my next model, I'd really welcome any info on it's flight characteristics, as I've seen a friends and the build quality is second to none.

Anyone got one ?

Hi Tony,

thanks for the heads up, unfortunately I'm after the H model DG not the HF - very confusing ! If I'm right, then H was part of HF until they split, I might be making that bit up tho' !

Jess Nichols sells H model in the UK incidently.

Cheers, Elliot.

H Modell DG 6000

Here is my 2 cents if it's worth anything...

The below URL is the H Modell DG 600:
http://www.icare-rc.com/dg600_4m.htm

Same as your quote Richard...

The SLS video link is actually the owners own model (Etienne's) hes flying it in the video.

He has had it for some time (my guess 3-5 years?) and I believe he is still happy with it. You can call him up and ask about specific "flying" characteristics. I hear that the model is very well made and flies great. I'm not sure how the quality compares to KV or LET; however, I'm quite sure that it is quite comparable at least to KV. KV makes great quality kits. They would be ranked #2 in my books - #1 goes to Let. I never heard of anyone complaining about H Modell kits.

In addition, I know for a fact that Let finishes their models better than anyone else - my bias... I've seen the quality and models fly from the following manufactures: LET, ZEDEK, HF, H, KV, S2G, Rodellmodell, HMK, PG GERASIS, TANGENT, etc...

Good Luck,
Martin

Hi Elliot,

I do fly this H-Model DG600 and it's a wonderful glider.

Quality-wise I would grade it under LET but over the various other Chech manufactureres. Generally speaking you could say that the price differences between the differend brands, comparing the same size and readiness of models, is a good indication of the quality and finish. Two things I didn't like on my DG600 were the stiffness of the hinge movement on all the flaps and the mediocre sticking of the gap sealing tape.
At first the DG was flying OK, thermalling nicely but feeling somewhat sluggish.
I flew it with the CG suggested in two different tests in german magazines. Subsequently I went back with the CG ending on 84 mm from the leading edge. Then the DG really became alive and was a joy to handle. I must say I allmost allways fly it in the long thermal version, I love the sight of those slender wings.

Unfortunately my DG is currently under repair after a crash due to radio failure.

Hello there. I am a bit new to the forum group and dont know where to start. I saw the DG and all that came to mind is maybe starting here andbe you guys can help me in either directing me in the right direction or just help ) I am looking for a used fuselage of a DG 800s http://www.icare-rc.com/dg800s.htm Mine was in a very bad crash, radio failureof some sort I think? My wings are just fine ( funny that) but the fuselage and and all of its bits I had to throw away. I couldnt fix them. I dont mind buying a damaged fuselage and all its bits. I am good at restoring scale gliders! Any help please??

for the info guys, it's funny you mention the model not being too good in the air until you got the CG spot on, a friend who has this model said pretty much the same thing - think he was in two minds about selling it on.

Do you know if H Modell have any web prescence - I've searched in vain thus far.

All the best, Elliot.

Elliot,

H-model doesn't have a web presence.

Here some websites of dealers who do carry the H-model DG600 (both sites good for developing your german language skills):

Hi,

I got mine from Topmodel - since I'm not a fan of Mr Lenger.

The eShop tells you what is in stock and what is not - shipping was expencive to germany - but ...

Tun told me that delivery would last severell month

Make sure that you get the package you want - the Topmodell is without extras like water ballast or equipped cabin.

Gunnar
