Looks cool. But, those fans look a bit small for that size plane.

What are the dimensions & fan diams?

they look like the run of the mill cheap wattage/gws knock offs. At there projected $120 for plane with fans and motors there not gonna be wemo's. But for that cheap its good looking enough and fans can be swapped. I know alot of places sell there planes coupled with a cheap fan to get that additional margin, but what the heck, generates sales and we get to get a deal and swap for better units.

True enough Barry.

I bet the Mig would fly great on 2x480's or 6904's. I just wonder if they would fit in those nacelles. The two fans on the ground almost look like MicroFan (50mm) size.

well I think its basically an enlarged haldor type plane, but with nacelles. And I'm sure with today's power systems a Haldor would fly awesome on micor fans, so anything bigger than that i'd be happy! haha At 31 inch span I'm guessing its in the 55 to 65mm range.

lol
guys,
this is still the prototype,if u notices the elevator being unscale, theya re now being changed to a full elevons.this plane is designed well,it has monokete covering, the empty weight is about 450 grams, the ducted fans are 55mm and it comes twin brushless motors, all that for $120 .cedar hobbies is making the rafale, the wingspan is about 33 inches,
give it a chance.arent we all tired of foam models,at least it is not a 3 channel, more jets are coming like the f-15,mig 25.c-17.they have the b-52 bomber coming.

How about video of the prototype flying.
I would get one without fans and motors.

"ALL BALSA AND PLYWOOD CONSTRUCTION ARF AND COVERED WITH CEDARKOTE"'

I do not see fan access doors??? Do they go on the bottom like the Halair MIG?

the access is done by removing the tail cones and installing the fans in,very easy design.basicly behind the tail cones.will try our best to have videos in few weeks.

The design is similar to mig-29 from offshore plans. At least ailerons position and elevators cutouts.
Look at Herb's mig29 for reference.
This one might be scaled down/refined a bit for 55 mm fans.
I like it anyway.

don't think we were knocking it at all. I even said if the fans are not great it doesnt matter, those who are power nuts will swap out for expensive stuff we like, and others will buy it and run it as is. Nothing wrong with that, sells planes makes them keep it cheap and develop more planes for cheap. I already said anything bigger than micro fans I'd be happy and buy it! I think it looks like a good one, although a strip down with no fans would be cool too, but I'd still buy it with them at that pricing.

Gotta agree with Barry. It's definitely a cool looking kit. I was just curious of the size. I wasn't bashing it.

But, if the fans are 55mm then that gives me a good idea of how big it is.
