Hi Bildo,

I would like to count this as a vote for the EFlite S-75 servos, but I don't really want to just "assume" what you would like your ratings to be. So using the 1-10 ratings range in the two catagories of Quality and Value, how would you rate the S-75?

Thanks again for your input.

Regards,

Jay B.

Not bad. Please let us know how long it takes to get them to you and how you like them.

Glad to see some more votes being posted!

I'll have to add to their orders......got 6 of the 9g and 4 of the 4.5g. $9.50 s&h

Can't argue with the pricing at all. Hope they're decent quality.

I have to thank ya'll for that link. If these are decent, I'll be ordering a ton more.

cosmicpossum - Best user name I've seen in quite some time.

Lets hear some 4.5 gm impressions as soon as you get a chance. I may have to jump on board here.

The 4.5's are going to be the ailerons for a Chinese Fox (see the thread in the Scale Saliplane section) that should be here next week. They'll get a thorough workout!

Dynam 8.4g servo

Dynam 8.4g servo is total junk. Extremely slow. Like 0.5sec/60deg. I give it a rating of 2. Just because it does move.

Hxt900

Hextronik's HXT900 is very good servo, quite fast. I give it 7. Once ordered takes about 1 week to be delivered (if in stock - they go fast).

From the unitedhobbies site comments actual dimentions are: 22.5 x 12.1 x 22.8 mm

Received the 9g Servos from bidproduct today. It's just too cold for me to fly with them yet (I'm a chicken), but initial tests look pretty good. They really look like unmarked Dynam servos. The range of motion is decent. They are a bit noisy - more so than my Futaba servos, but motion is pretty smooth. The case is ok, the servo arms are a bit tighter than I felt they should be, but fit. The connectors and wiring seems fine as well.

I'd give them a quality of 7.5
I'd give them a value of 9.5

I think they'll be fine for General use.
I'd put them in anything I'd use GWS servos to give you an idea where my thinking is.

10 Days from order to my door.

Well, my 9 and 4.5's arrived this week while I was in Boston freezing my <bleeps> off. Packaged well and surprisingly quick delivery. Will be installing two of each in a little sloper (mentioned above) next week. Stand by for a first impression post installation.

BMS 306bb

I've been using 4 BMS 306BB servos in a micro heli for a while now. I love them. WAAAY better than HS-55's IMHO. I think HS55's are fine for planes, but they had way too much slop for helis if you ask me. The BMS 306BB has virtually no slop, center very well and are a lot faster than HS55s for about the same price of $14.75.

I would rate the BMS 306BB (6g servo size) as a 9. It would be a 10 if they offered karbonite gears, but otherwise this is my servo of choice for small planes/helis.

I don't have many servos in the weight range you are dealing with, but will try to post something about the couple I have (not sure which rebranded name they carry...).

Saw a mention above of dymond/polk. Here is a link to a thread discussing them polk 4.7
