Thanks Albert. Wonder if you are familiar with this other Wilga that was towing at the Interlaken Aerotow this summer. Any idea of who makes it?

Regards,

Steve

I think the one in Interlaken is a wilga from Georgi.

I am looking for a bigger towplane in the DFW or Fort Worth area. I have a 1/3 Minimoa from the Lanyu folks that weighs in in the 22-30 lb area, depending on who you listen to. Mine is just arrived and has not been started.

I am close to having a couple of electric tugs for smaller sailplanes. My 1/5 scale 72" wingspan Waco YMF is now flying, with the tow release started, but not installed. I can do a number of different battery and prop setups, up to 10S.

This ought to do fine on smaller models up to 8 lbs.

I also am working on a tow release for my finished and flying 80" H9 Pawnee that is powered by a Eflite Power 60. Should be fine on models up to 6 -7 lbs.

East Tennessee tow plane

Hello to all.
My name is Dale and I have a 46 size tow plane in Knoxville Tennessee. It is a swizzle stick and may not be as large as the bigger planes but, it has more power then it needs. I have no tow experience at this time but, I have a plane and would like to learn to tow. I am in the process of building a tow plane with a 120" wing span. It will have a gas engine and should do nicely.

Good flying.

Hey guys well I now have another new tug to play with, this time it's an 80" hanger 9 pawnee fitted with an e-flite 90, it has been built with the intention of towing models up to 3.5 meters and does so in a very scale like manner, buy no means a power house like my cessna but enough for lazy entertaining towing.

GO the SCALE TUG!!

Hi All,

a new workhorse to replace the our previous one (may it rest in peace)

Running a Zenoah 62 and all JR 2.4 gear. It is a modified "Ultra Hots" @ 110%, modified wing (e169) with longer cord and span, and a modified fuse to take slide on wings rather than the bolt down version. The Deck/canopy is easily removeable for quick fuel/battery status inspection. Fitted with alot of the good stuff like Smart fly power distribution, twin 2500mah lipo flight packs electrinic ignition etc.

With two full flying events under its belt - we are finding it is great for "quick cycle" towing.
