Wow!

Stephen, you are going to be blind by the time you finish painting that color scheme! I never would have believed that scheme was real until seeing your pictures of the full sized boats!
Really an outstanding job!

You won't have any problem telling your boat from the other PTs on the water.

Between this version of "Razzle Dazzle" & Mountbatten Pink, the RN certainly believed in setting their vessels apart from the competition. One thing is for certain, these paint schemes gave their crews something to do while in port.

Hello guys! I just purchased my first Lindberg 109 kit and I just wanted to ask you some questions because I really loved how yours turned out...

First thing is what are the best props to go with for this model? I want to try to use the stock plastic rudders to keep a scale look.....

And another thing, whats the best way to power this boat with two motors?

The torpedo looks like some version of an African Tribal "Totem Pole".

Good luck on painting that puppy. I have a headache from staring at it.

I can see that this style of dazzle paint scheme surely makes the boat harder to recognize what it is (even up close) but does it really make the boat harder to hit as a target? Anyone ever get any solid reports back from tests?

Part list

"shipcollector5"

I just picked up the same model (not the limited edition, mine is all white), and I liked your build. Is it your complete part list on page 1 of the thread? If not, could you post a part list? This is my fist build after playing with RTR models for years

Hello Aiea

The parts list is completely the same as I posted in the beginning. However I changed the motors, battery and the speed controller. Here is what I used

Robbe SUPER MOTOR 380 code 4743 7.2v 17'208rpm x 2
Mtroniks Viper Marine 40 Speed controller x 1
Battery Pack 7.2v 3800mha x 1

This set up gives good scale speed appearance to the boat

I really enjoyed building this kit, wish the same for you best of luck.

Regards
Stephen

Hi Stephen! Two questions: where did you get the navigation lights, and how did you secure the servo arms on the rudder posts? Thanks, John
