Do you guys think a BVM Mig 15 with a DS 94 will work


I have a BVM Mig 15 kit here kicking about ( Old built up wing version) and was looking at the possibility of having it built for electric, with a DS94.
Was wondering on the possible outcome, and if I go with it what to look out for?
The other options I have are to go with a newer AFS F-86, or a balsa bandit, but I really do prefer the shape of the Mig. Any help you guys can provide will be appreciated

DS-94 or E-Turbax. Guy here is flying a BVM Maverick with an E-Turbax at 16 lbs.

My vote goes for the DS-94 with Lehner 2280. My Red Moose BVM T-33 comes in at 19lbs RTF.

I was a little worried about the intake not being enough, especially as it splits to go around the cockpit area????
Also what size does the tailpipe need to be ( Ideally)
Great yo hear that this power set will fly your T-bird at 19lbs. That's given me lots of encouragement

Theres the EVF from Violett too.
I would calculate your inlet area first though as it may be too small.
You may have to make it straight through and put a short cockpit in then it should be okay.

IMHO it should work perfectly... but I'd rather recommend a TF-4000. This copes better with a limited intake area - see my BVM F-86 thread.
I wouldn't be afraid of the splitter - true, you have some more duct surface - if the surface quality is good then it shouldn't matter too much.
But agreed, some number crunching wouldn't hurt either. Keep it light, that matters most!!!
