Help me figure out what battery *please*

Sorry I know people hate these threads but I can not figure out what batteries I should even be looking at for my new heli. I have an x400 running a 3200kv motor. It came with a 1700mah 11.1v 20C battery. I have not tried it yet because I am still waiting for my electronics to arrive. I know that especially since I am learning I am going to want more than 1 pack. could someone help me figure out what packs I should be looking at, I am on a tight budget unfortunately. I understand i need 11.1v and the higher mah's mean longer run time, but what does the higher C rating mean? I have seen alot of people running 2200mah, 1800mah, 10C, and 15C batteries with my heli. Thanks and i apologize for the newbiness

2100mAh seems a little heavy for an x400... 1800 is fine on a T-Rex.

I'd be saying Hyperion, but that's just me. Any 15C or better 1800 to 2100 should be OK, it's then down to quality of that manufacturers stuff, and charger compatibility. Oh, Hyperion batteries shouldn't be used without a balance charger as they tend to get out of balance and stay that way without constant balancing, which is their only downside IMO.

Thanks for all of the replys, especially andrew. I will be buying the charger tonight though it will not have a balance built in i am also getting a blinky. That should be fine right? I am sure this will be hard but where seems to have the best prices for batteries? assuming 1800+ and 15c+

External balancer is fine, that's how Hyperion's own chargers do it. Whatever the battery is, consistent balancing helps the life of the packs. As for suppliers, I have no idea, I'm in New Zealand so my suppliers probably won't be able to ship at a competitive price, and vice-versa.
