Can i use a nicad / nimh discharger to discharger my lipo packs?

I am using the Eagle Racing CDC 5.0 charger & discharger with selectable discharge rate from 1A to 10A. Is it safe for me to use this to discharge my 3S 2250mah lipo batteries (want to discharer them at 5A)

As long as it has a means to set cutoff voltage or you do not fall asleep at the switch.
I use the Ni discharge function on my Tritons for discharging LiPolys often.

Max safe discharge rate depends on the capacity and C rating of the LiPoly. The higher the discharge rate the more the packs will bounch back up when the load is removed.
