TL50 video from Singapore :) + some flight log data


As promised, I finally solved the throttle cut issue with the help of a simple plastic spoon scoop inspired by PaulVI's creation.

From the Jeti box, I am able to get the following data. This was after implementing the air cooling.

Max Temp: 101 deg celsius 2:29s
Min Temp: 30 deg celsius
Actual Temp: 25 deg celsius

Max Amp: 89.4/ 15.04v 0:03s :S
Min Amp: 61.8/ 14.19v 02:06s

Max Volt: 17.21v
Min Volt: 13.96v 02:27
Actual volt: 17.24v

Motor Run time: 02:42s
On time: 03:45s

Motor RPM: 31240 00:20s
Prop RPM: 31240 00:20s

In this flight alone, I experienced ESC throttle down after about 2:40s of flight time. The Jeti box is telling me that I have exceeded the Temp and current threshold. Will think about the air cooling portion again and show some pics later.

Edd that thing is smokin fast with some awesome handling.
It looks to be dialed in perfect.
To me it looks to be doing around 120 mph to 130 mph.
The little extra weight is a plus on that wing,it really make's it track pefect.

The question of the day is can you find a wing or airplane at the hobby shop that flies like that?
If you like the 50 you will love the demon.

yar man, I was having a lot of fun flying the wing around. When the motor starts spinning, it usually signals also the time for others to land and wait it out kekekeke.

CK, no way to find any wing or plane (other than pylons) to go that fast and yet fly so predictably under full control. I have about 45gram of weight at the nose. I am still experimenting with the CG and like the current balance at about 8 for all out speed and 8 1/2 for some slower aerobatic tighter flying. Hope you find the inflight data useful.

Edd I really apreciate the vid it is awesome and truley shows the characteristics of the 50'.

It also shows how good of a pilot you are, you are correct about the way these fly it is almost like a pylon type plane.
The motor batt combo you have on that thing is verry fast and has ben clocked on the 40 demon at 150 + mph so It has to be cookin along pretty good.
Your field gets too small quick.LOL
