The point is that if you DO move it in flight, whether the plane has a rudder or not, the nosewheel itself has a rudder effect. It also acts like a small fin on the nose, destabilizing the plane in yaw (whether you move it or not). However, in your case, the open-spoke wheel will tend to minimize this effect (although it will not be zero).

Wheel Rudder!

Don,
Interesting point regarding wheels. I had never really even considered the impact of wheel choice......on any airplane, but particularly a canard. I had actually thought about using these wheels (pictured). They are light, strong, but covered with a thin film. That would've for sure been like a wheel rudder!

Thanks

What could possibly go wrong?

Charles! Servos to be relocated - been there, done that. In fact I did it with my Starship and I found a way to program the Tx with one servo as the slave of the other, reversed. Fiddly, but it works.

Charles,
If that is the only error you ever make in building, then I wouldn't worry one bit.

It is still new, it hasn't flown yet, it will only be used after the first flight.

Long EZ

Being on holiday, I've been fiddling with Photoshop.

Although the paint so far is only white, she flies nicely so we took her for an outing...
