Didn't notice if it was still initiated. I've never had one drop out of the sky before. Tried it yesterday and it flew but has a bent outer shaft.

It may be worth to take a closer look at the power source where the battery plugs in. Something seems to be cutting in and out. I know on the Eflight mcX those small battery plugs fail all the time making the heli do some weird stuff. Which it will without constant or little power.

Thanks Mike.

The connection where the battery leads go into the 4n1 is covered with a white rubbery glue. I'll probably just try to fly it at low altitudes for a while and if it happens again, pay closer attention to the lights on the heli if comes down again.

With the hot temps and humid conditions that's hitting us, it sure is nice to have the CX2's to fly around in the basement. Where it is nice and cooooool!

Hot temps?
Shoot, I live up in Washington. And it has been nothing but rain and weird cold weather.
Send some of that heat up my way!
Just an update on my Cx fleet. OlliW sent out my boardless memms gyros yesterday so I should be posting up the updates on my vtail brushless herd fairly soon.

Hey Guys,

I have tried the CX2 with a DX6i but much worse than with the LP5DSM... is there any trick with the settings, and how can I turn on the gyro?? (the choppa is losing control and yawing to left...)

Many thanks,
Bulesz

Hey bulesz! Just thinking about you last week and wondering how things were.

On the DX6i you are able to adjust and toggle in between the gyro hh and rate modes in the 3in1 by the channel 5 slot in your RX (6100e).
I am happy the DX6i is working with one of your 3in1s since they were basically incompatible in quite a few cases. I think I only had one or two of them that worked. For some reason the signal from the Dx6i would not run the throttle correctly.
But, back to this problem. Your 3in1 has a yellow single wire with a 3pin female connector on the end of it. This is your ch5 gain wire. Hopefully you have the instruction manual for your DX6i as the gain settings on the Spektrum Tx are confusing. (page 115) Basically anything under 50 goes into normal and anything over toggles into HH on your left toggle switch that says flap/gyro.

Hey LMH,

Im still fighting with the gyro settings..

Im in ACRO mode, and it seems to not using the gyro at all...or very weak...

Do you have a recommended settings on the 3-1 which would be a good starting point in ACRO mode?

or what to do in Heli mode?

Many thanks!

It actually differs from one build to the next. Leave it in heli mode though.
It is based on so many parameters that it is hard to find one setting that seems to work for everyone. I had to tinker with every one of mine to set the gyro. And none were the same.

What I have read, everyone that has tried to setup the dx6i with the internal gyro in a 4 in1 and 3 in1 unit has complained about tail wag and twitching. When they went back to the stock LP5DSM transmitter the cx2 flew perfect. Here is a thread, which you may want to read through it all, but a couple of guys had success mounting an external gyro using their dx6i in heli mode. (post #57) If your going to use an external gyro, turn the gain off (or lowest setting) on the 3 in 1 unit.
