Hey Bullseye000,

I made a set of your ball-link pliers, but for the "stud" side, I drilled a small hole, and made a plastic "rivet" and seated it in the hole. Now the ball that I victomize gets a push from soft plastic on its end.
They are sweet, thanks for the directions.

Bullseye, do you find using those ball link pliers on the CX2 has any benefits over just using your fingernails? I understand using pliers on T-Rexes etc where the balljoints are on really tight, but all my CX2 ball-joints pop on and off really easily with my fingernails.

Does anyone know a good replacement motor for the CX2 Mine a squealing and I think the one for the bottom rotor is failing. The bottom rotor is harder to turn by hand and it seems that when I spool up the motors that the lower blade spools up much later than the top like it is stuck. I also can tell a trim/proportional adjustment differance in flight. Links would be helpful.

Expensive, but if you want the best replacement motors, these rock. I would also add some of the replacement brushes to your order. I have a pair of these on the CX2 and my squeal is GONE and it is quieter than the stock CX2 new out of the box. Avoid the Vortex motors, hit or miss. A few people had luck with them, but many did not.

Hey Diggs thanks for the help is any modification required to mount these on a CX2? Does the CX2 heat sink still fit?

No modification is required - not even soldering. They just plug right into the 4-in-1. Mounting is the same and the heat sink fits. They are much cooler in every way! See:

I see the motors for the Lama on the Miracle Mart website are motors A and B does it make a difference which goes where in the CX2?

You need one of each, as the pinions are in different positions just like the BCX/2 motors.

I didn't until I used my fingernalis and pulled a ball link off of my swash plate. With parts being a challenge to get locally I tried the pliers and think they work better than a fingernail or screw driver.

Even though I moved the control rod out a hole for forward motion it still stinks even in the slightest breeze!!

cx2 TBE help

the short version is: big crash, new swashplate, new blades( balanced pairs ), new alum. bearing holder(not nesc. I just wanted it), new inner shaft(was definatly bent), new lower hub, new flybar. Blades track a.o.k., flybar and upper blades move as freely as they like, and now im getting the dredded TBE, I've searched forum for cx2 toilet bowl and read 99% of the replies, the only thing I can think of is my loose interpritation of klondikes swashplate leveling tutorial. I've never had this problem before, and then again I've never replaced a swashplate before either: could my poor leveling be culprite for TBE. I know the answer is in this forum somewhere, if someone could point me towards it, it would be much appreciated.

Angels without wings
I'm new to Helli's but been flying fixed wings for years. A buddy and myself bought 2 of these CX2s at the WRAM show. His flew hands off out of the box. Mine was a bear. Had to mechanically trim for forward and right flight and the nose kept spinning to the left so I had to go to the 4in1 and turn the trim to the right a bunch. I turned the gyro way down because the tail just jittered, and I like it more sensitive. I'm at an 1/8-1/4 turn from the least setting.

So here is where it sucks. I can pirouette fast to the right but since I had to turn the
4 in1 so much to the right it spins very slow to the left. The only way to get it to spin faster is to turn the gyro all the way down.
