My Fleet in Pictures

Just musing today about gathering all of the best pictures I have ever taken of my ships and presenting them in a thread to everyone here!

These are pictures that, for one reason or another, are the VERY BEST pictures I have taken over the last 15 months. Enjoy!

Anyone got a favorite?

Great looking fleet! Its hard to pick favorites, but here I go.

1. Queen Mary in Sepia tone.
2. Musashi waterline
3.Zuiderdam lit up
4.Musashi and Hathaway in line ahead formation-reminds me of WWII photo

Ive got some pics of my 1/144th Bismarck in some of these poses.Too bad my computer is incapable of posting them.Im getting myself a new computer soon,so I can contribute some photos to the forums I post to.

I like the top sepia Queen Mary best, but i may be prejudice as I did a trans-Atlantic NY-Southhampton on the QE-I in '65 with my mother when I was little...

Much better. The Olympic class ships are some of my al time favorite ships. Graceful majestic lines yet still rather simple.

Great photos, and a great idea to snap pics at sunset and under more artistic lighting.

There is a forum on model railroading, my other hobby, that does Sunday photo fun each week, where people take pics of different aspects of their models under different lighting conditions with the goal of looking as realistic as possible. Might be fun to do here also.

for that, id imagine low level shots getting the lens as low to the track as possible using a macro as well to get close-in. its a similar technique to what i used to get the water line pics of Celestia and Gemini
