To all those who say align can go above 2400

EDIT: When I posted this, i wasnt in the greatist mood. I think i just had a bad blade because there are many people who run the same setup and dont have exploding blades.
I would just like to say, to all those who say the align's can go above 2400 that not all can. I just about got killed by a blade though my leg just now when my trex exploided just after hitting idle up.
damage:
tail fin
tail blades
main blades
Canopy
feathering shaft
main shaft
tailboom
main gear
flybar
servo gear

photos up in a little bit, after i cool down. Im about to kill someone.

Ouch, sorry man. I run about 2650, and have on the 325 pro's and cf blades with no issues. What blades were they and what grips.

Holy crap that sounds rough man. It can't be that bad tho - it was only wood O.O;;

Sounds rough.. I've run my 325Pro's at 2600-2800HS for weeks at a time without ever having any incident.. So do many others.. Your blade must have had its integrity breached somewhere..

Besides all that, I'm definitely sorry to hear that your junk just got wrecked 'cuz of a failed blade.. That's definitely the most aggravating thing - when your junk explodes and it's not directly your fault =\

Ow..I feel your pain mate-reading that post made my blood run cold!!- Just out of interest,I'am about to start my build of a Trex450SE with align b/less motor and supplied sp/controller- my question is out of the two sets of blades that come with the trex, which should I use first to set up and start with??- what should my maximum h/speed be? - can't do 3d yet so am looking for good stability and locked in hover..
lipolenny..

Lenny check out this thread:

Throw away the "325 FIBER" blades - they're trash.
Use the 325 Pro woodies.
Use the 11t pinion.

The fiber ones dont come with the se. The carbon one's do. I would start with the 325 pro.

Get away from the Align blades period. I would go SAB 320 CF or The new trex Vblades.

Its all fun

You haven't said what pinion you were running, what model Trex, whether the heli has ever suffered any impacts prior to the incident, what headspeed, how blades were balanced etc etc.

Without at least that information we are all just guessing.

Had a buddy who had a small incident with the "325 FIBER" blades. I'd have to agree that they are trash.

They call them "CARBON" but they're just another plastic fiber. Don't be dumb; they're trash.

I know aligns so cheap. I beleive the CARBONS are carbon just not carbon fiber. Much like the SE frame. Whats funny you can look at a silver SE frame and you can see its just black carbon with two microscopic layers of silver CF on top. Thats why people are breaking there frames landing hard.

You don't need to get rude! You post stated to throw out the fiber blades(flexable plastic). All I said was those don't come with the se kit. The carbon do.There not the Carbon Fiber that we think of.

Tonystott- If u had read my post,it stated I'am about to start building my trex-it's still in the box- it came with 2 sets of blades- carbon fibre and wood.. On advice from others I will use 11 Pinion and wood blades- my power source will be Flightpower 20C 3S 1800mah lipo and supplied align b/less motor and controller- My radio will be Futaba 9CAP and PCM reciever- Gyro is Futaba GY401 WITH S9650 digital on tail- HS65-MG everywhere else-
Now to start building.................
