30 foot Coast Guard Surf Rescue Boat

As anyone out there ever built a R/C model of the 30 foot Coast Guard Surf Rescue Boat? I was wondering how those that had, built theirs. I am in the process of building one in wood. I have enclosed some photos of the actual Coast Guard boat. I hope the photos aren't too small.

The full size USCG version was built of fiberglass. They were used in the 1980's. I think Coast Guard Models has a fiberglass hull available for this boat.

Thanks! I have the plans from Al. I believe he emailed me that he only made one model for himself.

What motor and batteries would be good for a model like this. The model is 30 inches long and the real one could reach speeds up to 30 miles per hour. The (coxswains flat?) is self-bailing. There is about 1/2 inch between it and the hull. I'm thinking about connecting the two with a rectangular section of brass. To let the water drain. Anyone have a better ideal?
