Extreme flight extra or Yak?

Hi everyone,

I am in betwee the extra and the yak 54 for extreme flight? Can anyone help me decide which to pick?
Secondly, I noticed most people use the stock motor , the torque brand.
Can you please provide a good alternative choice? I was thinking for instance to 2820/12...

If you go with the Extra, or the Yak, I would choose their Torque Motors. They are excellent motors. Get them both. Both are really good planes. The Yak will fly IMAC better though.

Yep, get them both! You can't go wrong either way. I haven't flown the Yak much yet (just one underpowered flight) but I have a feeling I will getting some more battery packs for that one. The Torque motors are excellent. I have a Hacker A30-16M in the Extra.

Thank you guys,
if could I would get both of them.
But just please consider the limited budget of a student: which one would you pick?
As far as the motor, you all seem to be pretty convinced about the torque, ok I will look for them, in europe they seem as pricy as the model motors...

I think the kits/combos are the same price.

Honestly I wouldnt knowwhich one to pick if i had too and I own both. For a students apect i would go with the extra, you can still run it on 15c TP packs without damaging the packs, its a little cheaper all aroung as you can get away with HS-56's in the wings and 65's in the tail. You dont need an extra BEC in the plane on the extra either. Both fly incredibly well and I love both of mine. But from a money aspect---go with the extra. The torque motors are fantastic I am using the torque in the yak and love it--however for an alterantive to the torque I am running a eflite power 10 with an eflite 40 amp esc in my extra and love it.

That's fine if somebody wants to pay extra for shipping for no particular reason. There are some vendors who offer this plane with free shipping.
