'Green' 500 ARs - maximum charge rate?

OK folks, I have two new packs of the 'green' Sanyo 500 ARs. What's a realistic max. charge rate for these? I know the 'official' answer is 0.75A, but I was thinking more along the lines of 1.5A - reasonable?? TIA

I should think you'd be o.k. with that. I have a couple of packs of 500AR greenies and my Schulze cheerfully charges them as fast as the old reds, at up to about 3A then tapering off at the end. Of course I haven't had them long so I don't know how well they're going to last .

Hi Bill

I have been charging my green labels at 1 amp but on Auto Charge mode, my Smart Charger goes up to 5 amps in the middle of the charge and finishes about 1.5 or 1.75 amps. The faster I charge them the warmer they get.

May I add that so far on speed 400 and 480 use, I have been pleased with the performance of these greenies. I have not compared to 600Ae yet as I just received my 600AE packs.

I have a new topic about comparisons of 500AR and 600AE. There are already a few responses.

I have no friends
Al, let me know what you think of the green 500ARs vs the 600AEs, I'm curious.

I charge the green 500ARs at 2A constant - 4C - on my Supernova. They might even take a 5C charge (like my 800ARs get) although I haven't tried yet.
