Multiplex FunJet vs ParkZone F-27C Stryker

...i've owned 2 Projeti's - both with Mega 3 turns - they were in the 100mph range (and are both now departed)...

...i'm still flying my Multiplex Pico Jet w/Mega 3 turn - it's not quite as fast (probably in the 85 to 95mph range)... when Horizon claims 80mph for their F-27C Stryker i'm not too impressed - i'd like something as fast as my old Projeti's with more durable foam - which would come closer to getting me there...the Multiplex FunJet or the ParkZone F-27C Stryker?...

F-27C will do about 70-75 straight and level max stock. It does have a very nice flight envelope. Can be flown very slowly or fast. This design has alot of drag so it will be expensive to push to 100 or better. It is a very durable airframe and has forgiving flight characteristics

almost slackin
The Funjet is easily faster but less forgiving than the Stryker, using same weight and power.
The Funjet is as capable as a Stryker of slow flight but is just a little less floaty.
The Funjet has better roll rate and less drag.

Just Get a Stryker body for $20.00, carve off the air intakes to stream line it, put balsa elevons, projeti type tail and put in a hot motor! Butch

Flyin' Ryan
They should be available through GP or Global, but suppy may be an issue.
After building and flying the FJ the Stryker seems slow and mushy. I really enjoy the FJ, it took a few flights to adjust to it from the stryker, but it is a superior design. Sorry if this offends any of the Stryker faithful, but I'm convinced the FJ is superior.

...Hobby People doesn't list the FunJet - Tower's site says available in mid-November - anybody else carry the FunJet?...

I love the Stryker but it is true that if you want speed instead of just cruising around you should go for a less draggy airframe like the Funjet or a wing. Stryker design based on a glider - flies and looks great. Have not got the Funjet yet but fly the Microjet which is a crazy fast little bird. Too bad they discontinued it but Funjet should be better flyer and easier to see.
