F3F Race Sunday, Nov. 12th. (Point Fermin / White point)

I will be CD for this week ends race Sunday, Nov. 12th. The schedule will be as follows as long as the weather permits.

PHASE ONE!
* Location: Point Fermin
* Pilots Meeting: 10:00am (yes it’s a bit early, hopefully the weather will permit, cross your fingers)
* We will race until 1:45pm then pass it off to the locals.

PHASE TWO!
* Location: White Point
* We set up the 2nd coarse and be ready to race after the ballgame ends.
* Pilots Meeting: 2:15 (Are we having fun yet?)
* The race/scoring continues right where we left off at Fermin. (No “Zero” round at White Point!)
* Race to end at 4pm.

For those considering racing F3F for the first time, this would be a great day to come and try it out! All are welcome! I know we’ll have at least one NewBee, my son Kyler, only 11 years old, will be racing for the very first time! NeeBees fly Free!

Please note: AMA card is required!

Thanks SoCal for an already great year of racing! Let’s make our 2nd to last a Blast!

Kyle

Well I'm currently battling a pretty good cold, but hope to be in action by Sunday. I kinda like the 2 site format for this one.

Hey Ian-

Haste makes waste! Abort that idea, just bring your lightest Opus to get your feet wet on. I wouldn't rush to get a plane that expensive geared up to maiden it at an ocean cliff; but that's just me, I work hard for the money I make...
Speaking of which. Gotta go, see ya on race day.

Why would you want to MAIDEN a plane in a race?? Set-up for a pilot is very individual-- I've never even tried that-- I prefer to get an hour or two on a plane before I attempt to rip it through pylon turns etc! That's a good way to lose a nice plane.
IMHO

Looks like we'll have wind on Sunday--hopefully more North than East and it'll be good really early!!! See ya there!

No it's official, I'll be test flying UAV's at Camp Penelton. Have fun, go fast, bring all of your planes home.
