I can't imagine the spring causing any interference, but I guess stranger things have happened.. I'll try the SPCM route first..... that should filter out about everything.

Just curious, what ESC are you using?

I had a CC P35 suddenly start to cause glitching on my Katana Mini. I replaced/eliminated everything else. They replaced it with another one and it did exactly the same thing, so I replaced it with an E-Flite 40A and the glitching was gone. I still use CC's on other planes, but I've put filters on a couple of them just to be safe. They're very good in every other respect and I like being able to program them through the USB.

was it glitching just on the motor or the control surfaces too? Mine was glitching on every channel.

Well, it looks like mi MFX will come in at 30.6 ounces w/o the wheel pants, and with a Polyquest 2100 pack. I defy anyone to build one of these with a flying weight under 30 ounces. HH should change their specs to show the true flying weight.

I finally figured out that the screws provided with the 480 are 6-64 & not 4-40. They looked a lot like the ones for the landing gear, & even though I got them to thread pretty far, they ended up pushing out the blind nuts. I have some 4-40x1/2 cap screws, but they didn't fit either. I ordered a box, so I should be back to work on this plane by next week.

I really don't understand the thread specifications though. Normal thread specs are like 1/4 x 12UNC x 2A. 1/4 being the diameter of the thread, 12 being threads per inch, & 2A being the precision of machining. Can anyone explain 4-40 x 3/8? I'm guessing 3/8 is the length.

4=size(diameter), 40=# tpi, 3/8= length.

why are you guys complaining about the strength of the landing geat block? ive had on bad landing and it hit pretty hard, you guys must be ramming into the ground!

Isn't that what you're supposed to do?

I've had a few soft landings, a few hard ones, its been holding up great since its first flight in January. Actually the whole plane is doing great, if I could just iron out the glitching... maybe I'll have some time next week.

I needed some major stress relief this morning so I pulled out all the stops on the MFX this morning. Couldn't sleep so I was at the field before daylight. Had a great time out there all by myself. Now back to reality again. Work BITES!

anyone try a gyro on a 3d plane?
