Anybody using gearbox on heli motor?

I was trying to think of a way to use my VE's C40-8L (Kv=3750) in my Swift or other such heli and it seems you could just attach a gearbox, say 4:1, to get it to work.

Has anybody tried it? What gearbox would be the best bet? This would greatly expand the motors available for heli use.

Now that I recall, it was done with the "BOX" reduction drive. Is that thing still available?

Where is the lift?

I have a 2:1 box but I do not use it. It is extra weight and the newer generation of outrunners and orks have allowed us the same or nearly the same performance with just the motor alone.
