I'm still waiting for my 22/20/2 w/ 1/8" shaft. It's been 3-4 months now. I'm beginning to think it's just not going to happen.

I'm glad I let Kirk drill a pinion for me. I thought about ording the 1/8" shaft. It would be nice to use the pinions with the set screw on the MEC gearbox.

Why wait? At Hobby Lobby they have 13T and bigger pinions with 5mm shaft! they are for the Helis. Have 15T on Mega 22-20-2, with MEC box 4:1, flying Modeltech 300, with 10c/2400, Flys SOOOOOOOOO Sweet! BOB

just hook up the motor to a speed controll and let a grinding wheel grind that hardned metal down to 1/8 "
make a protective box so no shavings enter the insides
and let it rip

took me 3 days to recieve the motor in mail and 25 minutes of grinding , dipping in water to cool, grinding, measuring, grinding , then all done

i tried it originally with a file from sears but the hardned shaft dulled the file

i think i still have the pictures if you are intersted and have a bench grinder

How many amps are you pulling? I just ordered this setup fro MEC and hope the 40 amp Jeti controller I have will handle 10 cells. Otherwise I'll try 8 cells.

I use Jeti (gold Label) W/BEC speed control and 10c/2400. Never a problem. 14X7 is favorite prop for this combo! BOB
