Micro heli: blade CP vs. Intruder 300? which one?

hello all;

I am looking for a good Micro heli for a scale heli.

After some reading, searching I came up
with the RTF Blade CP ($219) with very basic
configuration and some good ways to
upgrade later... like Metal Head, landing gear....
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=EFLH1100

And this morning I came across a site which offers
a super upgraded CP , With All Metal Rotorhead + landing gear,
for the even less ($199).
That micro heli is called Intruder 300 6ch RTF -
With All Metal Rotorhead (Upgrade from Esky CP2 / Blade CP)
http://www.rc-expert.com/product.php?pid=157

According to the specs, This intruder 300 is
even better deal than the Blade CP Pro ($249)

the problem is there is very little info about the Intruder 300.
Maybe beacuse it is fairly new to the heli market.
I wonder if I can download the manual of the Intruder 300
somewhere in the web before I decide to make a dive on it.

Anybody uses or knows anything about this Intruder 300?
Is it a good buy, good heli?
Please help?

Blade CP

And here is the Blade CP.
For the look only, I would go for the Intruder 300.
But I would like to know its quality? its flying characteristics.

Thanks

That's looks like CNC Head from Microheli, or a blue anodized knockoff of it ($130)

The skids are superskids v2 ($12)

If that's the actual Microheli head then yeah, it's a good deal...Chances are it's a knock off though...

That helicopter's been available for a little under a month, and as far as I can remember only available from only one hong kong distributor. So to answer your question - you won't find a wealth of information on this particular heli combo for a while.

I got to admit that the Intruder 300 deal looks pretty competitive. Time will tell.
Anyone know for sure?

Actually, I would not mind to get the barebone Airframe
of the Intruder 300 and use my own electronics + radio...

The onlything I am worry is the support and the part availability
in US? that stops me from thinking about it. Even it looks pretty good
in the photos

I don't think those two heads are the same

From what I can tell, the "Intruder 300" is simply a knockoff or variant of the Esky Honeybee CP2 - probably built in the same factory for all we know. Aside from the rotor head, parts support shouldn't be an issue, because this heli uses all the same parts as the Honeybee CP2 & Blade CP.

As for the rotor head, it is not made by MicroHeli. You can find the very same head via helidirect.com, although there are no individual parts like the MicroHeli version, or the HDX300 version.

With all that said, this heli looks to be a great deal - $199.00 for an RTF heli with an aluminum CNC rotor head is pretty darn nice. I'll have to ask Steve @ helidirect & see if he can stock these for a smiliar price - would be a hot item for sure!

God bless - "Rare"

Ah those rounded edges threw me off...I stand corrected. The cnc head you mentioned is what some folks are referring to as the HDX300 version 1 cnc head (red button) but yeah - looks like the one on the intruder is a knock off of that one.

*IF it's the exact same one and not some low quality soft metal knock off, then yeah I guess it'd be a good deal, but this is about as clear an example of caveat emptor as I've ever seen.

Well, the Intruder has been offered for about a year now, and not a knock off of anything. The head is not HDX based (there is only 1 version) and was the original cnc head offered that had tolerance problems fitting onto the main shaft. As far as I can tell, they took a CP2, added the cnc head, super gear and cf blades and called it the intruder. Also if you look closely at the pic of the blue cnc head, you can tell that they colorized it blue as the silver one had tolerance issues.

seems like nothing to write home about this Intruder.
Only the price is great.

I wonder if they fixed the tolerance issues yet?
Well they should... by now.
