Hay guys, thanks!
I took the B-25 to the BEST event this year.I got about 6 more flights out of it, 15 if you count takeoff and landings.
I plan to start another one so I can post it start to finish. There are a dozen or so plastic sets out there now so you guys can follow along.
I've posted more information that you guys will need under "Development" at post #2 so you don't have to dig through this thread.
Please feel free to post your progress here because every model is sure to have different features.
Here are the shots I stole from the event thread.

Looks great with the markings. Is that Alan Arkin in the bombardier's position?

Keith - in your book you show a projector on top of some plans. Will it blow up the three views and if so where did you purchase it from. Can't seem to locate one easily.

I really enjoyed watching Sparky's B-25 cruise around at BEST 2006 this past weekend. A very nice flying rendition of the Mitchell.

Thanks Tom.
The projector is called the Tracer I picked it up at Hobby Lobby
Not our Hobby Lobby but the one that sells craft supplies. about $60.
Blowing up three views at kinkos got expensive fast.
It uses a 100 watt bulb so you have to use it in a very dark room.
here is a link http://www.dickblick.com/zz530/14/
If you try to blow up the three view in this thread with the computer it will get very choppy.
Even enlarging with a photo process the lines get fat, split the difference and go for it.
I only use three views as a guide line. If you compare several three views to each other they never match up any way.

Keith,

Come on out to Pearson on Saturday morning, I'd love to shoot some new pics and get some video of the Mitchell! I'll have the CustomCDR motor I'm reviewing on Doug's A-7 with it's hotter prop

Thanks for the inspiration

Sparky,
Thanks for the inspiration to get me going.
The B-25 is one of my favorites.
Still has a ways to go, but it is starting to look like a B-25.

Guys,

Here are some shots I took today when the "gang" did some flying together. One shows the B-25 with full flaps. Enjoy!

Awsome photos. To me anyway, the weathering and panel lines look just right. I remember reading once that when it comes to weathering, apply half as much as you think you need and you will end up with twice as much as you actually need. Looks like you have a knack for it.

Ronnie you really has a handle on his new camera. Very nice shots!

Thanks.
Pat Tritle once told me how to do it. . . ."Mask and spray only one pass, If you can tell that you have applied paint you have done too much."
That's it. He has a way to put things that just stick.

Wade, I went inverted with it and the plane needed just a touch of down to keep the nose above the horizon. I think the stab is very close to where it belongs.

Very good shots indeed!

They really shows how beautiful your finishing work is Keith!

Your book tells us just a litle about it - how about a new book on finishing models

Beautiful B-25, dawnron1.

Can you tell me how you achieved that great silver finish? Is that paint?
