MM Cessna 180 on floats, pictures from today

Hi gang!

I've decided to throw a thread or two regarding the Mountain Models Cessna in the scale forum, as detailing this plane is turning more into an obsession than a hobby. We went out to a local lake and did some fantastic float flying today in a light breeze. Here's a static shot.

Now's where the pics go a little fuzzy. I neglected to reset the focus on the pencam (our day-to-day camera now) to infinity. I did a bit with photoshop to clean these up though. Here's a flyby.

... last one for today! We'll get some more along with some video tomorrow (remembering to set the focus, of course)

Very nice

Looks like you did an excellent job on the finish of you plane. Also looks like a nice place to fly (much nicer than the area in my neighborhood).

Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful!

The plane and the scenery are both beautiful. The in flight photos look like a full scale (real) plane. What a nice job on the plane, and you're so lucky to be able to fly in such a place.

Dreamer,

I finally broke down and got a 180. Is there a good site on the net that has photos to help with detailing the plane. I'd like to find some good 3 view shots and some close up shots of various scale detail.

Thanks, and GREAT work on your 180, not to mention the excellent photography.

OK, I know I typed all this and hit "submit" but it isn't here...

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

BC, Thanks very much for the link! That will inspire me for future color schemes and models, I'm sure

Asperkins, I haven't found a site that details the 180 in closeup pics, or even a half way decent 3 view. Come to think of it, I never even found a crappy 3 view! I did most of my detailing from real life pictures taken at our airport. Let me know if there's anything you want pictures of, and I probably have it.
