Oh yes! I've been to about 2 or 3 this year and had a blast each time. Only pain is that you get really limited practice time with all of the 1/5th cars running.

Why are you nixxing the Novak and Mamba ESCs? I'm considering a new setup and am curious as to why you don't want them. Personally, I've been looking at the Novak GTB Spread Spectrum.

I was running the Mtroniks Ride for awhile, but it was hard on my batteries and it started stuttering horribly. I've since gone back to the Novak SS5800 with no problems.

I went to Norcal this sunday and was running the Novak GTB with the 5.5 motor and it was a lot of fun. Nowhere near the top speed of the MAMBA w/7700 but way more controllable and better rear braking. I'm gonna play with the gearing to see what kinda speeds I can get out of it.
I still think it is a good brushless setup for the bike, but maybe the Mtronics is the ultimate I will have to see one in action to be sure.
But I wonder if the sensored systems are a little better for the bikes as we use the throttle more to control the bikes.
I do like being able to go blistering fast and the MAMBA lets you do that,
I don't know how to balance going fast or being in control.

stubs did you program the mamba and i dont remember if you have a front brake. today i stayed home sick and i got the bike to track straight and stop straight finally. now i noticed a clicking sound come to find out my chain has a bad link and my layshaft is bent i was at norcal all saturday getting the programing just right. i'm bringing my rc laptop to natcso if anyone uses a mamba we can fine tune it.

I like the laptop idea, and I would to see your programming profiles. I have always wanted try programming while at the track.
I have bent a few of those layshafts. Do you have the microdrive setup. Patricks chains are much better quality than the stock ones. As far as the links having tight spots and what not.

PM me the next time you go to NorCal
