"Me" always "Wantee" new planes.
Its actually my online poker nick and it came from a gameshow on the Simpsons. I use it for most online stuff now.
My wife is aware of about half the hanger, maybee just under.
The hanger also doubles as my office, much to the dismay of my staff.
Thanks for the link Glydr. I now definatly know where to head when I get the urge to ruin some perfectly good Depron sheets. (which is usually about once a month).

Hi me wantee,

Also another nice 3d model not mentioned on the page that glydr posted is an EDGE 540T by Tim Hart ( www.foamyfactory.com ). 45 inch wing span!!! The plans are a little basic but if you've built a few foamies it's no problem.

I've seen the edge before, It's a great looking plane. I'll do one one day.

I had a better chance to go through Glydr's thread link.
There are some great plans in there for sure.

I got chance to do another half hour this afternoon, here's the progress pic.
Nothing glued yet, just taped the ailerons. She's shaping up to be a nice looking bird.

Sukhoi SU-27 Shock Flyer

Is someone here able to tile these onto A4 size paper so they are the same specs as the one hobby-lobby sells? http://www.hobby-lobby.com/shockflyer-su27.htm

Hi GuyP,

I bought an excellent program called tile print http://www.blackflight.com/tileprint/ $15.95 US that will do that for you. If you build from plans you download a lot it's a great investment. All you need is a measurement of some sort, millimeters or inches of one of the surfaces, (usually a scale down in the bottom corner) and the program does the rest.

Hi Guyp,

Here is the link to the tiled plans https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ns#post3554863

Just reduce or enlarge in a photocopier as required.

Not exactly what you wanted hope this helps.

Read through the scratchbuilt foamy thread and have a go.

https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=428

Or you could buy a kit and learn from that.

Experience is the best teacher.

Martini,

In another thread you indicated that you bought a plane from Magnum and he was giving you some advice about it.

Well, what we have been saying is that young fellows like you should approach people like Magnum for advice. I'm sure that Magnum would be pleased to offer you guidance and advice if you haven't you met other flyers in your local area yet.

Everyone starts sometime. You're only 13. I didn't start until I was way older. Your only problem is getting cashed up to buy the hardware needed to build. Get out and mow lawns, sweep paths, mug old ladies.

Oh, and start simple. If you try to win an international scale competition with the first plane you build, you won't be happy. And you won't get much flying either.

Now go and PM Magnum
